How it started
Anne and Linzi met in 2019 over a coffee to talk about the impact that a lack of inclusivity was having on their community, and their children. Quickly they realised that they had to work together, and before long Ani's World was born.
For the following 3 years Ani's World operated as the first, and only inclusive book box subscription in the Netherlands. It was featured on National television, in multiple magazines and articles, won an award and had it's first product, the Rolmodellen Kaartenset sold in museums across the Netherlands such as The Tropen Museum.
In 2022 Anne moved on to start a new business, and Linzi remained as the director of Ani's World, eventually converting it into a Stichting in 2023. The organization has evolved, but the mission remains the same; 'to create inclusive childhoods'.
Here's a little word from the co-founders"
"We want diversity to become the norm in every household we touch, and for our customers to be equipped with the tools to question the narrative society feeds them. The end goal is that this generation grows up to treat each other as full, whole individuals with no preconceived stereotypes."

"Met heel veel plezier heb ik met Ani's World gewerkt aan de illustraties en vormgeving van de Rolmodellen Kaartenset. Het was een eer om de gezichten van de zesentwintig rolmodellen te bestuderen en om te zetten tot kleurrijke speelse kaarten."
